Meet Our A-Team

Christine Broeg — Office Manager/Scheduling Coordinator

I’ve lived in Mt. Pleasant for 28 years with my husband, Jeff.  I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and family, traveling, and going to see our three children. I welcomed my first grandchild in August 2017 – he’s such a doll!

I am the first person you see when you walk in to OAI! I enjoy taking your phone calls, scheduling appointments, answering all of your questions, and meeting new people. I have been with Dr. Kaci C. Vela since OAI opened in January 2016 and am loving the ortho world! Working both with her and our team has been very rewarding. My favorite thing about ortho is getting to know our patients. Seeing their confidence soar as they get the smile they desire is very exciting!

BRIANNA “BRI” NELSON— Financial/treatment Coordinator

Together with her husband Kyle, she shares two beautiful children. Jaeden is their wild toddler boy who loves to play with his two Golden Retrievers, Copper and Carly. Lyndi is their sweet baby girl who was born in April of 2021.  We spend most of our spare time camping with family and friends and we also love to volunteer at Midwest Old Threshers every year.

Before working for Dr. Kaci C. Vela I was working as a CNA, I was looking to further my life and career in a different profession. I love working at OAI because I learn more every day and also get to meet new people and help put a beautiful smile on their face! I also love to help people learn that orthodontic treatment is not just cosmetic and straight teeth. If the teeth are not functioning properly then you can be damaging your enamel!

Ashley Holl, — LEAD ORTHODONTIC ASSISTANT

I grew up in Mt. Pleasant and have always loved being a part of the community. I have a daughter named Sofia whom keep me very busy outside of work. I am recently engaged to my fiance Shawn whom I have been with for over 6 years. We have a sweet golden doodle named B that we love to take on walks with as a family.
Before coming to OAI, I worked at Sunnybrook Assisted living in Mt. Pleasant for 10 years. I made many amazing bonds there with my residents and their families but I knew I needed a change to spend more holidays and weekends with my family. I absolutely love my new work environment and love getting to make new bonds with my patients and their families. I hope to be with OAI for  many years to come and continue to learn everyday in this profession.
