Went in for a root canal. My dentist recommended gas on top of a Valium for this procedure knowing that I have horrible anxiety. While I’m the the chair I asked 3 times for the gas and the endo. Told me it’s not worth the $150 he was going to Need to charge me. I reluctantly went along. He had quite an attitude about it. He gave me 2 shots of numbing medicine, I asked what kind his response “I’m the professional, I do root canals, I know how to numb you”. Well ok Doc. He came back in 10 minutes later, gave me 4 more shots, put in a dental dam and went to town! Rough! I was visibly crying, shaking, and breathing rapidly. He stopped to switch tools, at that time he asked “are you in pain?”. I shook my head no. Obviously having an anxiety attack! He continued to drill, work and move my head wherever he needed it. The entire time I was crying and having a full blown anxiety attack, he didn’t offer a break so I could catch my breath, neither him nor the assistant checked on my status during or after the procedure. The anxiety attack could have been completely avoided by giving me what my dentist and I asked for, and maybe some compassion. The front office staff was just as uncaring as the endo and his assistant. My numbing meds aren’t even fully worn off yet and my mouth is hurting enough I took pain meds to help. Horrible experience! They do not care! There to make money and pump people in and out. Please be ware!
